Thanks to lovely students at the Westerdals School of Communication Course of Event & Scenography. We spent one month with them working on a brief to create a happening in public space for youth in Oslo. We have taken part of writing the curriculum to this course which were running its first year 08/09. The photo is taken on the last day together with props from the different projects.
Åsa Westlund has established her studio in Stockholm and we were invited to paint the walls. We have created fantasy morphed characters like a female owl of knowledge in Åsas high heeled clogs, a bird morphed into a woman in a magician cupboard, a horse with a magical umbrella. We are looking forward to see the studio when furnished.
We were lucky to stay in our friends fathers apartment in Stockholms Old Town. This small island in the center of the Swedish capital houses the Kings Castle and a wonderful cafe called Stadsmissionen. ( Remember to try something from their bakery as well.) We stayed for four days in misty november. We travel quite a lot for work and at the moment we prefer to stay in flats where we can cook and feel home. Each flat or home we stay in have different athmospheres. It is like being cut and paste into somebody elses life. The smell, the touch and the organisation of the flats makes us know the people living there. A great inspiration.
We have updated our website with work from 2007 and 2008 including our textile prints for HÅG (above).
This calendar is given to retailers and clients of LAGO furniture. We found 12 quotes about time and illustrated them in a magical, colourful and surrealistic way.
