We painted this wall for Paul Smith in Milan this summer. Finally, we have organised our photo archive and here are some more details from the wall. It's super colourful with hand-drawn swirly details. We have been using spray paint and acrylic paint to achieve a diversity of textures in the colours.
We were in Milan this summer to paint our 5th mural for Paul Smith Showroom. Here is a teaser for you to see until we publish all the photos taken. It is super colourful, bold, geometric and organic. Chaos and order, contradictions, contra-compositions and playful.
This is the back roof of our studio in Redchurch Street. Sometimes in the summer, we use it to install different things. We love these trees we did years back on a windy summer day. Soon it is the summer again and we will have to make new installations.
We have got new agent in US and ASIA! They are called Vaughan Hannigan. We are looking forward to fruitful collaborations and unforgetful opportunities! This is one of our cards. The flying girls we made for Paul Smith.
Cassiopeia and Orion are 2 installations made for Paul Smith Showroom in Milan. When looking at astronomy and star constellations there are mathematical constructions. To visualise our version of the 2 star constellations, we chose to use paper folding to make precise, neat geometrical objects that can be viewed from the side and from underneath. The view from underneath makes the installation look almost black and white against the light through the glassroof.
Cassiopeia is the largest structure. It contains f 12 used bicycle wheels, chain and around 850 origami pieces.
